Edwina A. “Boots” Chronowski,

Saginaw, Michigan.

Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Covenant HealthCare Harrison Campus. Age 99 years. Daughter of the late Stanley and Stella (Stupnicki) Slawinski, Edwina was born September 28, 1921 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to Stephen J. Chronoswki, her loving husband of 56 years, on February 9, 1946. He predeceased her October 9, 2002. Boots was a past member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and St. Josaphat Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Legion of Mary and League of Catholic Women.

Surviving to cherish her memory are one daughter, Carol A. and Thomas M. Ryan, Harbor Springs, Michigan; three grandchildren, Laurie and James Cesario, Petoskey, Michigan; Julie and John Perryman, West Bloomfield, Michigan; Thomas S. Ryan, Kauai, Hawaii; eight great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Colleen, Michael, Gabrielle and Matthew Cesario, Simon, Andrew and Dylan Perryman; many nieces and nephews especially Alice Marshall. Boots was preceded in death by two sisters, Della Naleson and Helen Schaffer and one brother, Burnell Slawinski.

Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Joseph Graff will officiate with entombment in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, the limitations of number gathered, mask wearing and social distancing will be observed.
