Edward J. “Eddie” Moll
Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022 at his daughter's home in Lake, Michigan. Age 97 years. The son of the late August and Mary (Wojtak) Moll, Ed was born on September 20, 1924 in Sterling, Michigan. He married Marcella (Marcy) Cieszlak on April 12, 1947. She predeceased him on October 20, 2007. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during World War II. Ed was employed at General Motors for 30 years retiring in 1980. He was a member of St. John Paul II Parish – St. Josaphat Catholic Church, V.F.W. Post #1859, American Legion Post #439, Air Force Gunner’s Association and Knights of Columbus Council #8458 where he served as past commander. Following his retirement from General Motors, Ed never liked to sit still. He was constantly working on projects and was always willing to help anyone in need.


Surviving are one son and two daughters, David (Joni) Moll, Saginaw; Linda Bloom, Saginaw and Janet (Dennis) Clayton, Lake, Michigan; eight grandchildren, David Clayton, Daniel (Anne) Clayton, Kristina (David) Ferrill, Kimberly Kelly, Allison (Kirk) Grames, Kourtney (Mike) Bennett, David John “DJ” (Julie) Moll and Drew Moll; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by his siblings, Tony, Stanley, Joseph, John, Walter, Monica and August Jr.


Honoring Mr. Moll’s wishes cremation will take place. A Celebration of his life and interment at St. Andrew Cemetery with military honors will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Aleda E. Lutz V.A. Medical Center or Hospice of Michigan. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.
