Loving mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Covenant HealthCare Cooper. Age 93 years. Daughter of the late Edward A. and Florence (Schoepke) Rapin, Dorothy was born October 7, 1929 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to Jack R. Easlick on September 16, 1950. He predeceased her January 31, 1986. Dorothy was a bookkeeper at Saginaw Steering Gear, General Motors and Graphite Credit Union. Dorothy was a member of St. Dominic Parish-St. Stephen Catholic Church, Beta Sigma Phi and General Motors Girls Club. She was the coordinator for the Strawberry Festival at HealthSource Saginaw. She enjoyed making floral arrangements, working in her garden and going to the casinos.
Surviving to cherish her memory are one son and one daughter, Sean Easlick, Saginaw; Jacklyn Easlick and her husband David Vogler, Rye, New York; two grandchildren, Brendon Easlick, Madison Heights; Kayleen Easlick and her husband Luke, Aurora, Colorado; her cousins, Mary Schoepke, Saginaw; Joan Lehman; her brother-in-law, Gerald Easlick; a sister-in-law, Laura Modrall and her husband; several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Rapin; five brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sally Lewis, Gloria Hildebrand, Sande Brown, Robert Easlick, and Richard Easlick; and her aunt and uncle, Rosemary and Joseph Banaszek.
Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023 at St. Dominic Parish- St. Stephen Catholic Church, 2711 Mackinaw, Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Steven M. Gavit will officiate with entombment in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Dominic Parish.
