Dolores M.”Dee” Walkowski,
Saginaw, Michigan.

Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022. Age 87 years. Daughter of the late William and Josephine (Nizinski) Pawlick, Dolores was born July 1, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to Jerold J. “Jerry” Walkowski, her loving husband of 60 years, on October 15, 1955. He predeceased her December 24, 2015. Dolores was employed at General Motors retiring in 1991.She was a member of St. John Paul II Parish and a member of the Ladies Rosary Society. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and reading.

Surviving to cherish her memory are one daughter and two sons, Debra (James) Conley, Fremont, Ohio; Jerold Jr. (Diane) Walkowski, Bay City; James Walkowski, Saginaw; three grandchildren, Christopher Walkowski, Sean Walkowski and Danyel Moore Walkowski; one great-grandson, Kingston Brock Gleason Walkowski; one step-great granddaughter, Adrianna Conley; a sister-in-law, Delphine Machnacki, Riverview, Michigan; many nieces and nephews. Dolores always had a love for animals. She will be dearly missed by her loving cats at home, Mickey, Squeaky, Little Girl, Kelley and Mama Cat. Dolores was preceded in death by an infant daughter and son, Diane Marie and Joseph Jerome Walkowski; one sister, Helen “Peg” York; and three brothers, Henry, Frank and Daniel Pawlick.

Funeral Service will take place 12:00 noon Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Fr. Richard John and Pastoral Associate Tori Little will officiate. Honoring Mrs. Walkowski’s wishes, cremation will follow. Committal of Dolores and Jerold’s cremains will take place in St. Andrew Cemetery at a later date. Friends may visit at the Snow Funeral Home, where the family will be present on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Amazing Grace Animal Rescue or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
