Beloved wife, mother, aunt and great-aunt was called home to her Lord and Savior on February 19, 2023 at the age of 76. The daughter of the late Joseph E. and Myrtle E. (Metiva) LaBrash, Deanna was born February 4, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan. Deanna married Richard Wegner on June 11, 1966 and together they shared 56 wonderful years with each other. Deanna graduated from Arthur Hill High School and Delta College where she earned an associate degree. She worked at Saginaw Valley State University as an administrative assistant. She was a member of the former St. Matthew Catholic Church. Deanna enjoyed traveling with her husband, weekending in Tawas and spending time in Florida during the winter months. She also enjoyed family gatherings, going to the casino, crocheting, working sudoku puzzles, and playing video games. Deanna always made time for a good laugh over coffee with family and friends. She always sacrificed her needs for the better of her family, and will forever be remembered as a loving, caring, kind and generous person who loved all unconditionally. Her compassion and love will be sadly missed by all who knew her.


Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband, Richard Wegner; son, Jason Wegner; sister, Suzanne (Don) Richard; brother, Darcy (Gail) LaBrash; brother-in-law and and sisters-in-law, Dennis and Mary Wegner, Tracy Wegner and Kim Draeger; nieces and nephews, Todd (Deanne), Kevin, Paul (Lori) Richard, Scott, Troy LaBrash, Kristine (Rob) Martin, Scott (Erica) Frank, Michelle Dugan, Stephanie Draeger and Shawn Otter, Drew Nelson, and several great-nephews and great-nieces. Deanna was preceded in death by her daughter, Rosanna Wegner; former sister-in-law and special friend, Janice Glazier; brother and sisters-in-law Kris Draeger, Jodi and Tom Schemanske and niece, Sarah Nelson.


Honoring Deanna’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no memorial.
