Beloved son, brother, nephew and uncle passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Age 37 years. Son of David John Ursuy and the late Lydia Barron, David was born March 2, 1985 in Saginaw, Michigan. He was a 2003 graduate of Nouvel Catholic Central and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education at Ferris State University. He taught internationally in Chile, Ukraine, China, Greece and Hungary where he met many friends and touched many lives. David was a member of the Catholic Faith. He enjoyed sports, music, playing his guitar and especially spending time with his family.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his father David John Ursuy; his sister, Alesia Sullivan; his brother, Drew Olivarez; two uncles, Dennis Ursuy, Doug and Carrie Ursuy ; his uncle and god father , Daniel Ursuy and his fiancee Julie Miller; five nieces and nephews, Joseph, Zachary, Alexia, Lydia and Lyla; his Godmother, Angie and Raul Perez; his great aunts and great-uncles, George and Concha Ursuy, Joe and Janice DeFrancisco, Judy Ursuy, Anna Ursuy ; many special cousins, especially Hillary and Claire Wilkinson and Tony Barron; and many special friends. David was preceded in death by his mother Lydia Barron; his grandparents, Gary and Andrea Ursuy and James and Irene Drew; his aunt, Dana Wilkinson; and his uncle, Alfred Barron.
Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St., Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Richard A. Bokinskie will officiate. Honoring David’s wishes cremation will follow. Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty) where the family will be present on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Nouvel Catholic Central.
