Beloved father, grandfather, son and uncle, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Covenant HealthCare. Age 62 years. The son of Charlene (Merritt) (Sage) Reichard and his late father, Norman Sage, Chris was born March 16, 1959 in Detroit, Michigan. He married Elizabeth Wasney on April 14, 1979. She predeceased him March 6, 2019.
Surviving him are one son, Chris Sage Jr; his grandchildren, Chris III, Tatum and Kerrigan Sage; his mother and step-father Charlene and Martin Reichard; his siblings, Randy (Tambra) Sage, Shelly Coheley; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Richard Jr. (Shari) Wasney, Therese (Robert Jr.) Henne; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Honoring Mr. Sage’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of his Life will take place at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Pastor Julie Bailey will officiate. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. In accordance with the Michigan dept. of health and human service ordinance, the limitation of number gathered, mask wearing, and social distancing will be observed. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Mayo Clinic, American Cancer Society, or American Kidney Fund.
