Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper Campus. Age 91 years. The son of the late Homer and Bernice Jordan. The eldest of nine children, Charles was born on April 29, 1931 in Flint, Michigan. He married Jacqueline Dingman, his loving wife of 55 years, on September 3, 1966. She survives him. Charles proudly served in the United States Army from 1949 to 1969. Most of his military career was spent overseas including Korea and Vietnam. Charles was a Purple Heart and a double Bronze Star recipient. Following his retirement from the Army, Charles worked for Citizens Bank and Barnett Bank for 40+ years. After his second retirement, Charles enjoyed playing golf. He was a member of the V.F.W. #1566, D.A.V and was a Mason and a Shriner. Charles found great joy in volunteering his time with his church, Kochville United Methodist, or any committee that needed him.

Surviving besides his wife Jacqueline are one daughter and two sons, Diana (Gary) Gibson-Lee, Twining; David (Barb) Jordan, Winchester, Tennessee; Douglas (Sheena) Jordan, Seminole, Florida; his grandchildren, Gary Wm. (Debbie) Lee, Robert Lee, Stephanie (Chris) Clinesmith, Christopher (Cecelia) Jordan, Valerie McDowell, Charles Wm. (Brittany) Jordan, Leah Jordan, Matthew Jordan and Nicole Jordan; his great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Katherine, Nick, Kaleb, Dakota, Maisie, David, Elliott, Evelyn, Miranda, Jaiden; his great-great-grandchildren, Vincent, Anthony and Thomas.

Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2022 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Pastor Ken MacGillivray will officiate. Military Honors will be rendered by V.F.W. Post #1566. Honoring Mr. Jordan’s wishes, cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
