Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, Carolyn Sue Barhite passed away in the morning hours of Saturday, August 20, 2022. Age 80 years. Carolyn was born on May 9, 1942 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Elgin and Ruby (Willeford) Todd. Carolyn graduated from Mandeville High School in Flint, Michigan in 1960. But, nothing brought her more joy than spending time and making memories with her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter and son-in-law, Karen (Steve) Heinzelman; their two sons, (grandchildren) Chad Heinzelman and Mark (Brittany) Heinzelman, their children, (great-grandchildren) Nora Heinzelman; son and daughter-in-law John (Susie) Shell; three step-grandchildren, Vicky, Brenda, Kristin; two step great-grandchildren, Devin and Mila; and her sister, Sylvia “Annie” (Rosario Pappalardo) Meadows. She is happily reunited with her Husband, Howard Barhite; son, Jeff Barhite; and two brothers.
At the request of Carolyn and her family, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00p.m on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd, between Shattuck and McCarty. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to the “St. Jude Children’s Hospital”.
