Passed away on March 11, 2021. Age 86 years. The daughter of the late Delbert and Edna (Newkirk) Brown, Carolyn was born February 9, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Roy Otto on June 23, 1962. He predeceased her August 16, 1983. Carolyn was employed at Second National Bank for 37 years and retired in 1991 as Vice-President/Bank Manager. She was a member of the Altrusa Club Saginaw and a life member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Carolyn volunteered in numerous organizations including Saginaw PRIDE, the READ Association and Saginaw Children’s Zoo. Carolyn enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews including Deborah and Clyde Chambers, Karen and Jeff Oberlander, Marcia and Larry Davis, Robert and Marci Gagne; also surviving are several great-nieces and great-nephews. Carolyn was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers, Betty Kushion, Donald Brown, Delbert (Al) Brown and Dorothy Robinson.
Honoring Mrs. Otto’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the READ Association or the Saginaw Children’s Zoo.
