Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022 at her home with her family at her side. Age 77 years. Daughter of the late William J. and Linda (Simon) Brussow, Carol was born April 1, 1945 in Saginaw, Michigan. She attended Arthur Hill High School. Carol was married to Nick Alfano III, her loving husband of 59 years, on February 2, 1963. He survives her. She was a member of the Catholic Faith. Carol was a member of Maple Hill and the Germania Town and Country Club. She enjoyed bowling, golfing and especially attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events.
Surviving besides her husband Nick are two daughters and two sons, Elizabeth Wilcox, Saginaw; Nick and Jacqui Alfano IV, Saginaw; Jeff and Misa Alfano, SanDiego, California; Gina Wressell, Saginaw; nine grandchildren, Cody, Joshua, Marissa, Nicholas, Rebecca, Anakin, Xanica, Daniel, and Addison; three great-grandchildren, Allison, Caitlyn and Kennedy; two sisters, Nancy Winstanley, Grand Ledge; Sharon McMath, Saginaw; one brother, William J. and Michilene Brussow, Florida; many nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Gerald Winstanley and David McMath. The family would like to thank Residential Hospice Staff, Monica Judd, for the loving care given to Carol and her family.
Funeral Service will take place at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2022 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Fr. Richard E. Jozwiak will officiate. Honoring Carol’s wishes cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the funeral home, where the family will be present on Sunday from 12:00 noon until time of service at 4:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
