Betty Jane Pasionek,
Saginaw Twp., Michigan.
Beloved mother and grandmother passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. Age 95 years. The daughter of the late Ray and Amelia (Scherzer) Fox, Betty was born on October 24, 1926 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to Ladislaus “Walt” Pasionek on June 14, 1947. He predeceased her on April 29, 2019. Betty was employed as a secretary at Patterson Elementary School in St. Charles, Michigan for 15 years retiring January 1, 1986. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and was a founding member of St. Charles Health Center and served on the board. Betty enjoyed traveling, golfing, playing the piano, sewing and especially spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving to cherish her memory are two sons and three daughters, Deacon Roger Pasionek, Saginaw; Susan Gottlieb, Gladwin; Jane Ann (Ray) Maciejewski, Winter Springs, Florida; Kurt J. (Suzanne) Pasionek, Palm Harbor, Florida; Michele M. (Tom) Lemere, Royal Oak; three grandchildren, Kimberly K. Maciejewski, Grant K. Lemere and Hannah F. Pasionek; many nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her son, Kevin M. Pasionek, her grandson, Sean M. Gottlieb and a son-in-law, Gary Gottlieb.
Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2022, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1525 S. Washington, Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Prentice Tipton, Rev. Fr. Thai Nguyen, assisted by Deacon Roger Pasionek will officiate. Entombment will take place in St. Andrew Mausoleum. Friends may visit Holy Family Catholic Church, where the family will be present on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Kings Care Foundation or A & D Hospice.
