Bernard Matthew Barron,
Freeland, Michigan.
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021 at his home with his family at his side. Age 70 years. Son of the late Robert and Evangeline (Piechowiak) Barron, Bernard was born June 24, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Sherry L. Turner, his loving wife of 50 years, on March 13, 1971. She survives him. He was employed at Schauman Construction as a carpenter and in the maintenance department. Bernard enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and especially spending time with his family.
Surviving besides his wife Sherry are three daughters, Misty Barron, Dawn Barron-Bray and her husband Thomas Bray, Wendy and Jason Alderson; three grandchildren, Robyn Losee, Mason Bray, Keegan Bray; a step-granddaughter, Carly Alderson; a great-grandson, Leonardo Rotondo; one brother and one sister, Kenneth and Brenda Hughes, Debora Parker; several nieces, nephews and special friends who knew him as “Dad”. Bernard was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Barron and Gayle Gardner.
Honoring Mr. Barron’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Private Memorial Service will take place at the Snow Funeral Home, Saginaw, Michigan with a Public Celebration of his Life in June.
