Beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Ascension St. Mary’s Medical Center. Age 71 years. The daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Smolinski) Kaczorowski, Barb was born on February 16, 1951 in Alpena, Michigan. She married Michael J. Gallagher on July 1, 2000. He survives her. Barb was employed at Snelling Temporary Services until her retirement on April 7, 2007. After retiring, Barb enjoyed canoeing, bike riding, golfing, and definitely going to the ca$ino. Her greatest enjoyment in life, however, was spending time with her family. Her lasting legacy will be of compassion, humor and her fun loving spirit.
Surviving besides her husband Michael are her children, Cindy Wargo, Anne (Billy) Jones and Cheryl (Daniel) Bagby, Gretchen (Mike) Virruso, Michalene (Richard) Lichon, Gary (Hannah) Gallagher and Mark (Jennifer) Gallagher; her grandchildren, Timothy, Brittany, Bradley, Julia, Steven, Matthew, Emily, John, Ann, Kayley, Ava, Sarah and Karah; her siblings, Robert (Connie) Kaczorowski, Thomas Kutter, James (Kathy) Kaczorowski, Peggy (Allen) Jones and Janet Williamson; many nieces and nephews. Barb was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Adrian Wargo; her brother, Paul Kaczorowski.
Honoring Mrs. Gallagher’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Fr. Richard Jozwiak will officiate. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to HealthWell Foundation.
