Barbara A. Krawczak,
Saginaw, Michigan.
Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister went home to her Lord Saturday, January 23, 2021. Age 85 years. Daughter of the late Daniel and Jennie (Ozerities) Klaczkiewicz, Barbara was born November 16, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to Leo C. Krawczak, her loving husband of 63 years, on June 9, 1956. He predeceased her December 22, 2019. Barbara was a member of St. Francis De Sales Parish, past president of the Altar Society and taught religious education at the church. She enjoyed bowling, crafts, going to the casino and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving to cherish her memory are two daughters, Lori Gorney and her companion Joel Kelly, Saginaw; Margie and Rick Bachula, Bridgeport; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Krawczak, Birch Run; seven grandchildren, David and Shannon Odette, Melissa and Dexter Ali, Kelly and Dave Derocher, Kristin and Zac Stombaugh, Gerald Krawczak Jr., Kari and Matt Parsons, Lt. Col. Eric and Jen Gorney; 10 great-grandchildren, Bradley, Ava, Zarina, Ryan, Jillian, Hannah, Brayden, Jace , Bryce and Sean; her sister, Patricia Lapinsky, Bridgeport; two sisters-in-law, Vicki Krawczak and Pat Krawczak; several nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Krawczak; a son-in-law, Mark T. Gorney; her brother, Robert and Florence Klaczkiewicz ; three brothers-in-law, William Lapinsky, Henry and Harold Krawczak. A heart felt thank you to the staff at Edgewood Assisted Living especially Don from Care Team Hospice, her hospice nurse.
Funeral Liturgy will take place 12:00 noon Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at St. Francis De Sales Parish, 3945 Williamson Rd., Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Fr. John Mancini, OSFS will officiate with private burial in Pine Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport. Friends may visit at the church where the family will be present on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, the limitation of number gathered, mask wearing and social distancing will be observed. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Francis De Sales Parish or Care Team Hospice.
