Obituary for Barbara A. McManaman

Barbara A. McManaman,
Saginaw, Michigan.

Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother passed away peacefully December 15, 2023 at Beehive of Frisco Texas. Age 84 years. Daughter of the late Wayne and Mary (Curtin) Cooper, Barbara was born December 8, 1939 in Bradford, Pennsylvania and was raised in Wellsville, New York. She was married to Dennis C. McManaman, her loving husband of 59 years, on February 27, 1960. He predeceased her October 14, 2019. Barbara had been employed by First Savings Bank, Great Lakes Bancor as assistant vice president for 25 years. Barbara was a charter member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Helen Catholic Church, an Eucharistic Minister and visited the home bound. She enjoyed traveling, and especially visiting her family!

Surviving to cherish her memory are two daughters and two sons, James and Debra McManaman, Toolele, Utah; Shannon and Tom Tyler, Prosper, Texas; Joseph McManaman, Saginaw; Mary and Eric Snow, Denton, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Robin (Joe) Harshman, Brian McManaman, Jillian McManaman, Stacie Curwen, Amy (Albert) Mendez, Travis, Kelley and Austin Tyler, Cooper and Alyssa Snow; six great¬ grandchildren; one great-great grandson; one sister, Judy Cooper, Wellsville, New York and one sister-in-law, Maureen Cooper; several nieces, nephews, and special friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter, Theresa Marie McManaman in 1961; a grandson, Douglas McManaman; a brother, Jim Cooper, and a great-granddaughter, Karman Ramos.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at the Beehive as well as Three Oaks Hospice for their loving care and support of Barbara in the final stages of her illness.

Honoring Mrs. McManaman’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Helen Catholic Church, 2445 N. Charles St., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. John R. Johnson will officiate. Friends may visit at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., Saginaw, Michigan, where the family will be present on Friday, January 19, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with Rosary at 4:00 p.m. and Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
