Obituary for Andrew John "AJ" Shouey

Andrew John “AJ” Shouey,
SaginawTwp., Michigan.

Beloved son, brother, grandson and friend passed away suddenly, Friday, September 2, 2022. Age 19 years. Son of Aaron and Judy (Friedrich) Shouey, Andrew was born October 18, 2002 in Saginaw, Michigan. He was a 2021 Graduate of Swan Valley High School and currently attend Delta College for his second year. Andrew was an avid baseball player who was a pitcher for Swan Valley High School and Delta College, where he won Delta College Pitcher of the Year 2022.He was also a great mentor and served thru his home church, 242 Community Church in Saginaw, Michigan. Andrew loved spending time with his friends, playing golf and especially loved his siblings and his church family.

Surviving besides his parents, Aaron and Judy are one sister and two brothers, Jenna Shouey, Lafayette, Indiana; Adam Shouey, Saginaw; Jesse Shouey, Saginaw; his grandparents, Daniel Shouey, Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Janelle Friedrich, Delphos, Ohio; his aunts and uncles, Sarah and Kurt Powell, Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Jared and Angela Shouey, Rockford, Michigan; Paula Shouey, Quincy, Illinois; Rob Stant, Delphos, Ohio; Paul Friedrich and Amy Ross, Decatur, Indiana; Jim and Diane Friedrich, Delphos, Ohio; Bob Friedrich, Delphos, Ohio; and many cousins. Andrew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eileen Shouey, John Friedrich, an uncle, Matthew Shouey and two aunts, Jamie Friedrich and Carolyn Stant.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 242 Community Church, 2303 Amelith Rd., Bay City, Michigan 48706 at 11:00 a.m. with the church doors opening at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Jim Damman will officiate. Friends may visit at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. . Honoring the family’s wishes cremation will follow after the visitation at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family.
