Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Covenant HealthCare-Harrison Campus. Age 105 years. The son of the late Martin and Anna (Kulcbi) Trybulski, Alex was born on February 27, 1917 in Saginaw, Michigan. Alex proudly served in the United States Army during World War II, and was a Purple Heart recipient, and was a member of the American Legion Post #439. He married Susan J. Bundshuh on August 6, 1955. She predeceased him on October 14, 2010. Alex was employed by Saginaw Industries for 44 years until 1974. He was later employed as a custodian at Arthur Hill High School. He served on the Saginaw Board of Education for 6 years. Alex was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #4232, and life member of D.A.V. and Pulaski Club.


Surviving are three daughters, Jacquelyn Burnett, Cheboygan; Georgia and Keith Lichon, Oceanside, California; Pauline Murphy, Traverse City; a son-in-law, Dean Ludwig, Bay City; 10 grandchildren, Robert Doerr, Michael (Amy) Doerr, Michelle (John) Gibson, Tracy (Marty) Smith, Kristine (Jeff) Whitteberry, Pamela (Daniel) McCormick, Matthew (Cynthia) Lichon, Todd (Stephanie) Ludwig, Philip (Kristin) Murphy; several great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Alex was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Ellen Ludwig; a son-in-law, Dr. Quinter Burnett; his granddaughter, Mary Kay Doerr; two sisters and four brothers.


Alex’s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Wellspring Independent Living, Aleda E. Lutz V.A. Medical Center and Covenant Harrison Comfort Care Unit for their loving and compassionate care.


Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 6400 McCarty Rd. Rev. Fr. Richard Jozwiak will officiate with interment to follow in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church where the family will be present on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the wishes of the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.
