Obituary for Albert "Jack" Elliott

Albert “Jack” Elliott,
Saginaw, Michigan.

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Monday, February 28, 2022 at his home. Age 91 years. Son of the late Henry and Cuba (Stinson) Elliott, Albert was born July 20, 1930 in Elkton, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. Albert married Darlene Mercier on May 19, 1969. She predeceased him October 8, 1989.He then married Catherine “Kay” (Kaczor) Overley on February 14, 2003. She survives him. Jack was employed at General Motors for 43 years. He was a member of American Legion Post #439 and the Shriners. Jack enjoyed dancing, playing cards, hunting, fishing and especially his family.

Surviving besides his wife Kay are one daughter, Laura Elliott-Parks (Matt Parks), Saginaw; one step-son, John (Janet) Overley, Carrollton; five grandchildren, Matthew and Logan Parks, Cassandra (Kevin) Adams, Tiffany (Matt) Brown and Sean (Brittany) Overley; seven great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sharon Klonowski, Saginaw; several nieces, nephews and very close friends especially Kay Gross-Jarvis. Jack was preceded in death by one daughter, Danelle Elliott; one son, Steven Elliott; two sisters, Sally McIntyre and Joan Leach; and one brother, Richard Elliott.

Honoring Mr. Elliott’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2022 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Fr. Richard Jozwiak will officiate with Military Services conducted by American Legion Post #439. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Sunday from 12:00 noon until time of service.
